rope, carpet, steel,
upholstered forms, tree limb
velvet blouse & corner of
concrete and stones found in a suburb of South Carolina.

A tree doesn’t see; it feels.

“she’s aware of each departure and each new arrival.  They produce irritations, they provoke impulses [...] The tricks perform themselves in her, under her skin.”
